Why does CUTIX keep moving when I buy it on the simulator?

Beginner Investing

I am still trying to figure out how this whole thing works using the demo money, but I noticed my CUTIX shares went up a bit today after I bought some yesterday. Is that price movement based on actual trading happening on the real NGX right now, or is the simulator just doing its own thing? I am just a bit confused about how realistic these practice trades actually are.

Ah, I've been wondering the exact same thing since I started playing around with this demo money! From what I've tried to figure out so far, these simulators usually pull live data straight from the actual Nigerian Exchange, so those price movements are showing what's really happening on the real NGX. Does anyone know if our simulated trades actually affect the real market, or are we just watching real prices without our fake buying power actually touching anything out there?

Most standard trading simulators pull live or slightly delayed feed data directly from the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), meaning the price action you are observing in CUTIX reflects actual market liquidity and order matching rather than artificial generation. Equities in the industrial goods sector often exhibit this kind of intraday movement driven by retail volume and shifting bid-ask spreads. It is a faithful replication of real-market mechanics, making it an optimal environment to study volume ratios and trend continuation without real capital exposure.
