None is better than the other, they are built for different purposes. So the best for you depends on your risk appetite,time horizon and goal

Every investment must have a goal. Long term or short term.

Equity MF are best for long term (3-5 yrs) while Money market or emergency funds are best for short term. (0-1 yrs).
